My vision of where I want my life to end varies, but here's what it looks like right now.

It's high enough to be away from rising seas and flooding rivers, but near enough to fresh water that we'd never run out. There's a body of water nearby where we can go for cold water swimming every morning. It's far enough from neighbors that we all feel we have space, but close enough that we could walk to each other's houses in an emergency or just for a visit. There's a village within walking distance, too, if we feel the need for more company (see: pubs).
